DHEC: 722 new COVID-19 cases, 12 more deaths announced in SC – WIS10

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 722 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 12 additional confirmed deaths.
This brings the total number of people with confirmed cases since the outbreak began to 157,394 and confirmed deaths to 3,439.
Of the 12 deaths reported, 4 people were middle-aged (ages 35-64) and 8 were elderly people (ages 65 and up).
